Gameplay Signalis has simple gameplay wise is reminiscence of the original classic survival games like quiet hill or resident evil. It's a top-down view, pixel, art, survival shooter that has minor melee abilities with an inventory of just six items to navigate the world.

It's a science fiction only narrative game for one player which brings tension to life with a variety of weak melee weapons forcing the combat fight to be conducted at arms length like pistols and shotguns.

The game world is comprised of interconnected spaces where you can search and find keys or items that help solve the puzzles by joining items into safe spaces that let you carry the tools you need for survival.

There are enemies who can be killed if you don't have ammo in the shotguns or pistols that you find throughout the game world as you attempt to make sense of what and why you are doing what you are doing in this enigmatic world.

The game begins simple and easy, but you will find out that the difficulty rises dramatically in the course of the game epically, towards the end with enemies that revive as they emerge from vents and floors, and more, and simple, easy, yet enjoyable boss fights that are claustrophobic and squeezing.

I would say that it is not the games fault per say however, if you advance through the game a lot for two or three hours in and then stop for a few days coming back can be hard because the game does not spoonfeed you what you were supposed to do next . Also, with the map being a little hard to understand beginners may be put off at first however, if you follow the guidelines and strengthen your brain muscles, trust me, the pain is worth it.

The variety of the enemy is a little limited to my taste However, it was developed by two individuals, and I am able to accept it since what's available is for the most part straightforward, classic, and effective use of survival horror enemy game design.
